Ok so I have looked all OVER the internet, gone through every forum I could find and tried everything I could think of. This is the 3rd time this has occurred and too be honest i am getting tired of it happening as I do not know how I fixed it the first 2 times, after a few weeks it just decided to work again. The 'ehome infrared receiver' driver does not display anymore in the Device Manager and the red light no longer comes on when I click a button on the remote control. What I have: - Windows 7 64bit - ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ - Hauppauge MCE Remote Control - Running XBMC What have I done so far you ask? Unplug the USB IR receiver from the back of the motherboard, short the remote and plug the receiver back into the USB, also reset computer, tried different USB ports including USB2.0 & USB3.0, completely shut off computer, put the computer into sleep, hibernate and Uninstalled all the USB drivers in 'Device Manager'. The 'USB selective suspends settings' option in the Power Options set to (Disabled).
The 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' setting in Device Manager (Deselected). Tried the patch file 'RestoreEHomeInfraredReceiverUSBCIRWindows7.exe' 5. Downloaded a 'MCEIR.inf' & MCEIR.sys' file and placed them into the windows system32 drivers folder (this might have helped fix it the first time it dropped out but not 100% sure as it didn't fix it this time around). Set the BIOS up so USB's remain on when system is in standby, changed this off and on just incase it was stopping the eHome driver to come on. I am seriously out of ideas. How come Microsoft dont have a simply fix for this?
Otherwise, if you try to access the domain, you will get this page. • Once you map an IP to a domain, then you have to make sure that the domain pings back to the same IP. Ping the domain and make sure that the IP matches one of the IPaddress seen in admin home -> ipaddresses • If you are seeing this page when you try to access an IP like then that means that the IP has not yet been mapped to a domain. Go to client home -> ipaddresses -> ipaddress home -> domain config and map an IP to a domain. Tas laptop yang.
I can't even find a eHome infrared remote driver anywhere because apparently Microsoft Windows 7 already comes with it, and it only displays in the Device Manager when the remote is working, doesn't help when I want to force my motherboard to install the driver 'ALL' the time and not uninstall it if I disconnect the MCE Receiver from the USB or the computer goes into SLEEP. Alt copy seems to be broken.
